Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how subscriptions renew, how to cancel, and when we refund. It applies to THIS WILL MEME ("we", "us", or "our").

Effective 3 August 2026.

1. How subscriptions work

Paid plans are billed monthly and renew automatically until you cancel. Each billing cycle includes a set number of images, and unused images do not carry over into the next cycle.

2. How to cancel

You can cancel at any time from the Billing section of your account.

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
  • Until that date you keep full access and your remaining images for the cycle.
  • We do not offer immediate mid-period cancellation, and cancelling does not by itself refund the current period.
  • After the period ends, your plan does not renew and you are not charged again.

If you cannot access your account, contact support@thiswillmeme.com and we will help.

3. Refund on your first subscription purchase

We offer a refund on your first paid subscription purchase if all of the following apply:

  • the charge is the first paid subscription purchase on your account;
  • you request the refund within 7 days of that charge;
  • no image has been successfully generated on a paid plan after that purchase; and
  • you have not already received an initial-purchase refund — this is available once per account.

Where those conditions are met, we refund the charge in full.

4. Renewal charges

Renewal charges are generally non-refundable. Once a renewal has been charged, the images for that cycle are made available to you immediately, and the cycle runs to its end even if you cancel partway through. Cancel before your renewal date if you do not want to be charged for the next cycle.

5. Situations we always review separately

The rules above are the ordinary case. We review the following individually, whether or not the 7-day window has passed:

  • Verified duplicate charges — if you were charged more than once for the same subscription period, we refund the duplicate in full.
  • Billing errors — a charge for the wrong amount, the wrong plan, or after a completed cancellation.
  • Material technical failures — where a fault on our side substantially prevented you from using the service you paid for.
  • Refunds we are required by law to provide.

6. Failed generations

A generation that fails should not consume your allowance. If a failure has consumed images, the corresponding credit is restored to your account. This is a correction to your allowance rather than a refund of money; if your remaining images look wrong, contact us and we will investigate.

7. How to request a refund

Email support@thiswillmeme.com from the address on your account and include:

  • the date and amount of the charge;
  • whether the charge was your first purchase or a renewal; and
  • a short description of the problem, if you are reporting one.

We aim to respond within two business days.

8. How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are returned by our payment processor to your original payment method. We cannot refund to a different card or account. How long the refund takes to appear on your statement is determined by your bank or card issuer, not by us.

9. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation right you have under the consumer law that applies to you. Where mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence give you a stronger right than this policy, those protections apply.
